Live Sports Broadcasting – ESPN
I was part of ESPN’s live sports broadcast crew, working across a variety of sports and venues.
Most of my time was spent at American Family Field with the Milwaukee Brewers, and I also worked with the University of Wisconsin–Milwaukee’s Panthers at the Panther Arena.
Within the crew, my roles included:
Camera Operation: Primarily operating fixed-mount cameras on tripods as well as mobile ENG-style cameras, such as shoulder rigs and Steadicam setups.
Replay & Graphics Systems: Running the 3Play replay system for instant replays and highlight packages.
Jumbotron Integration: Operating the Daktronics system (DAK3 operator) to coordinate live feeds and visuals for the in-venue Jumbotron.
Multi-Sport Coverage: Contributing to professional baseball and basketball broadcasts, adapting to the unique pacing and coverage needs of each sport.
While I’ve since moved on from ESPN, I’m still open to live broadcast production work and enjoy the fast-paced, collaborative environment of professional sports coverage.
